Information submitted through the contact form

When you use the Contact form, you may provide: your name, your email address, an optional phone number, the type of enquiry you select, and any message you write. This is the only personal information this site asks for or collects.

Like most websites, the infrastructure providers that deliver, secure and operate this site (currently Netlify for hosting and form processing, and Cloudflare for network and security) may process standard technical request information, such as IP address and browser details, as part of normal web traffic. This is separate from, and not used for, the enquiry information described above.

How and why it's used

Information submitted through the Contact form is used to respond to your enquiry: to reply by email or phone, or to discuss a potential project or role. It is not used for marketing, added to a mailing list, or shared with advertisers.

Netlify Forms and email notifications

Contact form submissions are processed and stored using Netlify Forms, a service provided by the platform this site is hosted on. Submitting the form sends your information to Netlify's infrastructure, which also triggers an email notification so your message can be seen and answered.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand website traffic and engagement: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and general interaction patterns. Google Analytics may process pages viewed, device and browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, traffic source, and interaction data, and may use cookies or similar storage where permitted.

Google Analytics is configured with analytics storage denied by default. Until you accept analytics, Google Analytics does not use analytics cookies on this site, though Google may still receive limited, cookieless measurement signals. If you accept, analytics storage is enabled and Google Analytics can use cookies and provide fuller measurement. Your choice is remembered so you won't be asked again.

Data sharing

Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. It is only accessible to the site owner and to Netlify and Google Analytics, as the infrastructure and analytics providers processing information on the owner's behalf.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of past correspondence, after which they may be deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time; see below.

Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect submitted information, including reliance on Netlify's infrastructure security. No method of online transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure, and this policy does not promise absolute protection.

Your rights and requests

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you've submitted through this site, at any time, by contacting the email address below.

Children's privacy

This site is a professional portfolio and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
